Dan Hipgrave
former guitarist from the indie band Toploader, now a freelance
journalist and presenter came down to Southampton last week
to find out all about Zapcats from Vortex Racing.
Dan joined
Championship winner Mick Pritchard as his co-pilot for the
morning whilst Craig Davis and Baz Minns accompanied them
on the water in the Vortex Racing Zapcats.
Although
cold, the weather was exceptional and Dan had a fantastic
time progressing from slightly apprehensive to a true convert
even taking control of the tiller himself at the end of the
session.
Dan was
very interested in the National Championship and how we ran
our Zapcat events, from someone who not seen or heard of a
Zapcat before he was totally hooked at the end.

Try Before You Buy
Vortex Racing in
conjunction with the series organisers Zapcat Racing has
arranged two days for prospect 2008 racers to try a Zapcat
around a championship style course. It is also a chance to
talk to some of the top teams, take a look at new equipment
and order their boats and book courses.

Some rather
inclement weather has unfortunately meant postponing a couple
of events recently, however this has allowed us the
opportunity to not only carry out our annual maintenance
programme but to also to add an extra dimension to our events
for 2008. Thanks to our friends at Marine AV we now have the
capability to add music as well as commentary to our events.
